Head of General Accounting
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Head of General Accounting to lead daily accounting operations across the Baltics. This role ensures compliance with IFRS, ERGO Group standards, and local tax laws, while driving process harmonization, strong internal controls, and effective cash management. You’ll lead and develop the regional team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

About the role:
Leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the Baltic General Accounting Department, including accounts payable, fixed assets and payroll, while ensuring adherence to IFRS, ERGO Group accounting standards, and tax regulations.
Developing and implementing cash management processes to optimize cash flow and liquidity.
Maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to proper accounting procedures.
Leading and developing the Baltic General Accounting team by setting clear goals and performance metrics.
Fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, and driving continuous improvement and unification of accounting systems and processes across Baltic countries.
What we are looking for:
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Over five years of accounting experience, including at least three years in a leadership and people management role, preferably within insurance or financial services.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations, with hands-on experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Very good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Fluency in English and one of the Baltic languages.
