The travel insurance is valid in the territory specified in the insurance certificate, with the exception of Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Israel, the country of your permanent residence and the country of which you are a citizen.
Please pay attention to the recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania regarding countries to which it is recommended not to travel due to military conflicts (https://keliauk.urm.lt/), as in these countries travel insurance coverage may not be valid or may be limited due to applicable non-insurable events (e.g. , activities of a military nature, terrorist acts).

Have an insurance certificate when you go on a trip. Detailed information on how to proceed in the event of an accident can be found in the insurance memo, which you will receive together with the insurance certificate.
The insured event must be reported no later than 30 calendar days after the event. In certain cases, a shorter term can be set, for example, in the case of death - 2 days, in the case of damage to luggage, travel documents, travel change (delay, loss of connection) and civil liability - 3 days, and in the case of cancellation or termination of the trip immediately (not later than within 12 hours), excluding bank holidays and non-working days. In case of inpatient treatment or repatriation (especially in emergency cases), it is recommended to notify us immediately so that the right treatment facility can be selected and the costs would be covered by the insurance company, and not from your own funds. In order to receive an insurance payment, you must submit all documents certifying the insured event and the damage suffered.
You have the right to receive compensation for essential medical care from the compulsory health insurance fund, when travelling to EU countries, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, if you have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which proves that you are covered by compulsory health insurance (more information is available on the website www.vlk.lt). However, it is not mandatory to have it.
The treatment of chronic and congenital diseases or their complications, which started before the start of the trip, is not compensated, except for the costs of necessary and urgent medical assistance to relieve severe pain or save your life.
If you plan to actively spend your time or participate in competitions during your trip, be sure to inform us before concluding a travel insurance contract, as this information must be included in the insurance contract in order for insurance coverage to be valid during active leisure time and/or competitions.
Yes, it can. Baggage can be insured against delay, damage, destruction and theft.
Damages will not be covered in the event of loss or disappearance of baggage which was left unattended by you. Costs due to normal wear and tear of luggage are also not reimbursed.
The insurance payment when returning from a trip to Lithuania (or the country of permanent residence) is not paid, even if the return is via transfer and the luggage is delayed in the other country. Baggage delay is covered by the insurance only when travelling, as the loss is deemed to arise from your need to purchase essential items abroad while your luggage is being delivered, and you are using your belongings at home after returning from your trip. Keep all bills and expense reports as they will be needed when assessing the damage.
If your luggage was damaged at the airport or did not arrive at all, report this to the airport baggage department and ask for a document confirming this fact, and submit a claim for compensation in writing. Inform us about the event in writing within 7 calendar days.
When travelling abroad, you can insure all travellers (including family members of any age) with travel insurance.
Travel insurance (also known as travel health insurance) is insurance that protects you from expenses should you need medical attention while traveling in a foreign country. The mandatory risks of travel insurance are medical expenses and repatriation insurance, but we also offer additional insurances: accident insurance, personal civil liability insurance during the trip, luggage insurance, travel expenses (financial loss) insurance, also known as trip interruption insurance, and etc.
Travel insurance is not valid in cases where the conditions of the insurance policy are not followed. For example, insurance for medical expenses is no valid if you fail to specify about the extreme activities during the travel. Personal liability insurance is not valid if you ride a bicycle while intoxicated and damage other people's property. Travel luggage insurance is not valid if luggage is left unattended and thus lost. It is very important to specify the travel goals as precisely as possible before the trip and to assess the risks that may arise during the trip and choose additional insurances accordingly.
The price of travel insurance is calculated according to which country you are going to, for what time, for what purpose. Also, the price of travel insurance depends on optional additional insurances, for example, if you additionally choose personal civil liability insurance during the trip, travel luggage insurance, financial loss insurance, the price is calculated by summing up the mandatory risk and additional insurances.
