Legal assistance
We will provide legal assistance, advise and represent you as the employer in court at our own expense, and cover the litigation costs. A court decision is not necessary for the insurance benefit to be paid, conclusion of a tripartite agreement between the injured person, the employer and us is sufficient.Compensation for nonpecuniary damage
In case of an accident, the injured third party may request for compensation not only for incurred material losses (medicines, rehabilitation costs, etc.) but also for non-material damage. We will compensate non-material damage within the limits of the sum insured.Insurance coverage for all employees
Insurance coverage applies to all employees you employ, including temporary workers and trainees, to whom you have entrusted work and with whom you have concluded the respective contracts. An increase in the number of employees up to 50 per cent is not considered as an increase in risk.3-year period for bringing a claim
A claim for compensation can be made within three years from the expiry of the insurance contract, if the event was reported to us during the term of the insurance contract or within the extended notification period (standard period of 90 days).Coverage during business trips abroad
We will insure your civil liability as an employer’s liability for damages arising in the European Union, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, caused to your employee as a result of an accident that occurred while on a business trip, participating in exhibitions, fairs or activities other work purposes at your direction. Upon additional agreement, we can expand the territory and insure for physical work abroad.Additional coverage
We will additionally insure at your discretion: expert examination costs, investigating the causes of the accident at work; the costs of the employee’s professional rehabilitation and/or retraining after the accident; costs related to the search for a new employee and his training (if the injured employee died or had to change the nature of work due to an accident at work).What is covered by the employer’s liability insurance?
We will compensate the following losses incurred due to damage caused to the employee under the employer’s liability insurance:
- medical expenses not covered by social insurance;
- rehabilitation expenses;
- funeral expenses;
- lost income that the employee would have received if the damage had not occurred;
- non-pecuniary damage;
- costs of legal assistance incurred by the policyholder (representation, defense, litigation);
- damage caused to employees’ property (clothes, telephone, car), within the limits of the sum insured, but not more than EUR 50,000.
