Critical illness insurance

The number of cancer cases worldwide is increasing every year and may become the leading cause of death in the future. But it’s still a topic we avoid talking about. We want to change this attitude, so we have created cancer insurance with extra coverage. Critical illness insurance may provide more treatment options and cover day-to-day expenses.

If you already have an ERGO life insurance contract with selected critical illness coverage, you are also covered against certain types of cancer. However, ERGO cancer insurance will provide much broader coverage, and in the event of an insured event, it will ensure a benefit regardless of other available insurance coverages. We invite you to discuss how we can ensure your financial security

Why to choose ERGO insurance?

We understand that the cost of treating an illness can be high, so you are free to choose and change the sum insured according to your needs and capabilities. The sum insured under insurance against cancer and critical illnesses may be fixed or decreasing during the term of the contract. You can choose the duration of the insurance contract until you reach the age of 70. We will provide the premiums for the entire insurance period.

Even early stages of cancer and skin cancer are insured: • 10% of the amount is paid out in case of invasive skin cancer; • 20% of the amount is paid out in case of non-invasive or early-stage cancer, melanoma, primary carcinoma, primary prostate cancer, papillary or follicular thyroid cancer; • 100% of the amount is paid out in case of invasive cancer, advanced melanoma.

The benefit under insurance against cancer may reach up to 130% of the sum insured. After paying out of a part (10 or 20%) of the sum insured, the full sum insured will remain valid.

With insurance options A, B, C, we can insure persons aged 18-64, and upon expiry of the contract, the age of the insured person may be up to 70 years. Persons from 2 to 17 years of age can be covered by children’s insurance against cancer and critical illnesses until the age of 18. All your current and future minor children are automatically insured at a half the amount of an insured adult person (up to EUR 25,000).
