Make a car insurance claim

If you want to register your claim as soon as possible, fill in the online form and submit your vehicle for inspection.

In the event of an accident, it is important to stay calm and take the steps that will help you record the damage correctly.

What to do in the event of an accident?

First of all, always prioritise the safety of yourself and your passengers. Here are the steps we recommend you take if you are involved in an accident:

1. Stop the spread of damage

Take all possible measures to prevent or reduce potential damage. Activate the hazard warning lights.

2. Remain at the scene

You must stay at the scene and report the incident to the police if no one is agreed on who caused the accident. If there are injured persons, call an ambulance.

3. Fill in the declaration

You can fill in the accident report yourself or wait for the police. If you have casco insurance and your car is damaged by an object that does not belong to you (tree, structure, roofing), register the accident with the police.

4. Take photos

If possible, take photos of the accident scene, the vehicles involved or the damaged property.

5. Call for Road Assistance

Call +370 5 2332899 if you need it and we will provide free or comprehensive technical roadside assistance, depending on your insurance.

6. Register the damage

The most convenient way to report a claim is through the self-service website mano.ergo.lt. If you do not have the possibility to identify yourself, you can also report a damage on the website online.ergo.lt/en/damages. There you can also submit all documents related to the incident.

Road assistance 

We recommend that you do not leave a damaged vehicle unattended if it cannot be locked securely. We will arrange for your vehicle to be transported from the scene of the accident to a garage or other necessary location.

Steps to take abroad

If you are involved in an accident abroad, it must be registered on the spot, whether you are the perpetrator or the victim. Try to remain calm when explaining the circumstances of the accident and recording the damage.

Formalising a traffic accident

First of all, ensure safety at the scene to prevent new accidents and additional damage.
If there are injuries, call an ambulance immediately.
You can only remove the vehicle from the scene once the incident has been finally resolved.
If it is necessary to tow a vehicle to ensure safety, the position of the vehicles must be marked on a drawing signed by all parties before towing. Take photographs of the scene.
Both participants must record the accident in a written document or contact the police.
If there are witnesses to the accident, make sure you take down their contact details.
