Underwriting

Insurance is a fascinating and analytical way of dealing with risks. The underwriting team designs insurance products, insurance offers and contract terms.

A risk engineer assesses the most complex insured objects, such as buildings, to determine their level of risk so that an appropriate insurance offer can be made. This is done by underwriters. They work with data, gather information and develop proposals that include the necessary risk protection for the customer, and negotiate mutual terms.

Portfolio managers take care of the strategy and terms of the insurance products under their responsibility – MTPL, MOD, property, accident, travel, etc. They analyse product performance and follow market trends, develop insurance services and systems, as well as provide training for sales professionals and brokers.

Life risk underwriters assess the client’s health data and other factors to create a tailor-made offer, incorporating the client’s insurance protection needs, such as life, disability, cancer and critical illness or accident cover, as well as risks related to a specific illness, hobby or occupation.
