Methodology Specialist
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as a Methodology Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting methodologies and procedures aligned with IFRS and ERGO Group standards. You will support the finance team in preparing financial and regulatory reports, ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations, and contribute to internal controls and documentation. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of accounting standards, and a drive to improve financial processes, we would love to hear from you!
Your main responsibilities:
Develop and maintain accounting methodologies, procedures, and internal policies in accordance with IFRS regulations and ERGO group accounting standards.
Ensure accounting processes comply with insurance industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. Solvency II, IFRS 17).
Provide support to the finance team for financial and regulatory report preparations.
Develop and maintain internal control systems.
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting accounting practices in the insurance sector.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance the efficiency and integrity of financial processes.
Prepare internal documentation, manuals, and training materials.
Support audit reviews by preparing clear accounting procedures documentation.
Requirements:
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or methodology—preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
Solid understanding of IFRS; familiarity with IFRS 17 is a strong advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Fluency in English and one of the Baltic States’ languages.
